Arrival and Departure

The first institute event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Saturday August 2, 2008. The final session will adjourn before noon on Wednesday August 6, 2008.

Fees

The Institute fee of $475 ($500 for payments received after June 8) includes all program materials, refreshment breaks, and pre-dinner receptions each evening. A $100 fee will be assessed for registration cancellations received between June 30 and July 9, 2008. No refunds will be made after July 9, 2008.

Travel

Detailed information regarding air, land, and water travel to and from Mackinac Island is available anytime from the registrar and will be furnished to all registrants after enrollment.

Accommodations and Meals

Hotel reservation forms will be mailed to you upon receipt of your completed BTFRI registration form. Prices of rooms and meals at the Grand Hotel (Modified American Plan rates include full breakfast and five-course dinner) range from $189 to $289 per day per person based on double occupancy, and $303 to $503 for single occupancy, depending on the accommodation selected. Because of the hotel's No Tipping Policy, a 19.5 percent added charge is applied to the room rates plus 6 percent Michigan sales tax.
